U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly (D-Mishawaka) Thursday announced he's authored a bill named after a Farmland soldier who took his own life. Donnelly recently completed a tour of six communities across the state to discuss the importance of preventing military suicide and improving the mental health of service members and veterans.

His first bill, the Jacob Sexton Military Suicide Prevention Act of 2013, is named after Farmland native Jacob Sexton, who tragically took his own life in 2009.
