MSRC's Jon Maner selected to receive an APA Early Career Award

MSRC's Jon Maner, Ph.D., Director of Core C, has been selected as a recipient of the 2013 American Psychological Association (APA) Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology in the area of social psychology.

Maner is a Professor of Psychology at Florida State University. He received his doctoral degree from Arizona State University in 2003. In addition to his research in social psychology, Dr. Maner has expertise in quantitative analysis, research methods, and database management. In addition to being Director of MSRC’s Core C, Dr. Maner is Director of FSU’s Social Psychology program and is an Associate Editor at the American’s Psychological Association’s Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

The APA Distinguished Scientific Awards for an Early Career Contribution to Psychology honor early career scientists for contributions in the first 9 years post-PhD. This year's awards will be presented at the 121st Annual Convention in Honolulu, July 31 - Aug. 4, 2013.
