MSRC Investigators awarded funding from Global Foundation for Eating Disorders

Ph.D. student Tiffany Brown and her major professor Pamela Keel, Ph.D. have been awarded funding from the Global Foundation for Eating Disorders for their project titled "Dissonance-Based Eating Disorder Prevention Program for Men".

Dr. Keel is Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at FSU, and a Co-Investigator with MSRC. The study will take 18 months, and will investigate the feasibility of a peer-led dissonance-based intervention to reduce eating disorder risk factors among gay males in a university-based setting.

The study compliments work currently being conducted by MSRC that is investigating both eating disorders in military populations and masculine gender norms in a National Guard population.
