Up to four awards of $2000/each are available to doctoral students whose dissertation director is a current member of the Military Suicide Research Consortium. These awards are intended to provide necessary support for completion of a doctoral dissertation on a topic of relevance to the Consortium.
Students will submit a brief (3-5 double-spaced pages) description of their dissertation project which explains how the study is relevant to the mission of the Consortium, a letter of support from their dissertation director, and a brief written explanation of how the funds will be used.
Funded students will be required to submit a brief report at the end of their funding year describing the status of their study and a statement of how the funds were expended.
Applications are due May 31st, funding decisions will be made by July 15, and funding will begin on August 15, 2013.
