This project aims to develop a psychometrically sound assessment measure that is keyed to the major theories of suicidality with which to assess motivations for attempts. The primary objective of this project is to develop such a measure, the Inventory of Motivations for Suicide Attempts (IMSA), and to test it in a sample of medically severe, inpatient suicide attempters.
